A resume is a visiting card of any professional looking for a job. It is with this document that the employer's correspondence with the candidate begins, and it often depends on him whether you will be invited for an interview or considered an unsuitable applicant.
It is necessary
- - the passport;
- - education document;
- - employment history;
- - a computer.
Instructions
Step 1
The main rule when writing a resume is to have only really important information. Do not write too much and do not paint your entire biography from birth. The average length of a standard resume is one A4 sheet, maximum two sheets.
Step 2
Compose your resume on a computer and type it on good thick paper, no handwriting required. Use only standard fonts Times New Roman or Arial 10-14, try to avoid horizontal and vertical lines, leave large margins. Important subheadings can be bold or larger.
Step 3
An ideal resume should contain all the necessary information about you: name, date of birth, education, contact information, work experience with job descriptions, traits and personality traits. It is also worth indicating the desired position and salary level. Information about work experience and education should be arranged in reverse chronological order, that is, in the first place, the last place of work should be indicated, and do not forget to indicate the exact dates of work at each place. Briefly describe your professional achievements and important results, use specific facts and, if possible, numbers.
Step 4
Check your resume carefully for spelling, stylistic, and punctuation errors. If you are planning to look for a job in a foreign company, please make a copy of your resume in English or any other required language.
Step 5
To find a job faster, post your resume on several job search sites at once, periodically update the information, as employers more often look at fresh resumes. Send your resume to the recruiting company, as well as directly to employers of interest to you.
