The holidays are still going on, and I really don't want them to end. However, you still have to go to work, the only question is when exactly, so as not to come earlier or be late for a day or two.
All residents of the country are looking forward to the New Year holidays, as it is not only noisy feasts, fireworks, congratulations and gifts, but also a small vacation that you want to spend with your family and friends. However, this tale ends sooner or later, and soon many will have to return to workdays. But, in order to correctly draw up a plan for the New Year holidays and be in time for everything, you need to know the exact date of going to work.
This year, the rest of the Russians will last ten days. So, Saturday, December 29, was made a working day, in order to work it for Monday and on the 31st, not to worry about work matters. This so-called "pre-holiday" day was reduced by one hour, and the next two days: December 30 and 31 became days off. 8 January days were added to them, which included:
- January 1-6, 8;
- - Jan. 7.
Those days that fell on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) during the New Year celebrations have been postponed to May 2019, thereby lengthening the holidays at the beginning of May.
Do not forget that many residents will go to work earlier due to their production needs. Libraries, banks, public transport, shops - many begin their work on January 1, 2019. So, the Russian Post goes full-time on January 3 and continues to work on schedule.
For the majority of the working population, the first working day of 2019 will be Wednesday, January 9th.
On this day, the whole country will return to their jobs in full force and will continue to work until the new holidays.
