The innovation in the law provides for the simplification of the application procedure for registering real estate in the cadastre and registering the right to it. Now, with the help of just one application, within 10 days, the necessary documentation for registration of property rights and cadastral registration will be prepared at the same time. It is possible to receive public services separately: then the procedure for registering the right will take 7 days, and registration in the cadastral register - 5 days.

Simplification of the procedure for registering real estate in the Unified State Register also applies to the remoteness of the location of the real estate object and the owner. So, if the owner lives in St. Petersburg, and the land plot is located near Tula, then it is possible to submit documents at any convenient reception and delivery office.

It is now possible to submit documents not only in paper form, but also in electronic form. Prepared documents can be collected either in person or by courier service for a fee.

The innovations provide for a more efficient work of the registration authorities, for example, the period for preparing an extract about a real estate object is reduced from 5 to 3 days.

The issuance of the customary certificate of ownership is canceled. Now the registration of the right and the cadastral registration of the real estate object will be accompanied by an extract from the Unified State Register, and the registration of real estate transactions - by the corresponding inscription on the document.

The new Unified State Register of Real Estate is designed to reduce the risks in the real estate market associated with transactions and transfer of ownership, and to minimize the possibility of fraud.

It is worth knowing that amendments to the Federal Law take effect from January 1, 2017. This means that documents submitted for registration of rights and cadastral registration of real estate before December 31, 2016 will be prepared in the old regime.
