The recipe for managerial happiness is quite simple - the main thing is to be able to convince employees of the need to perform a particular action. However, in many cases, the manager simply puts employees in front of a ready-made solution. It is unlikely that such an approach will create a healthy climate in the team and develop initiative among your subordinates.

Necessary

  • - conversation with the team;
  • - conversation plan;
  • - positive work experience under your belt.

Instructions

Step 1

Convincing people is an art. Of course, there are leaders who prefer to decide everything themselves, but such voluntarism negatively affects the atmosphere in the team, dulls initiative, the ability to independently make decisions and take responsibility for their implementation. Therefore, the principles of democracy and a comprehensive discussion of the way out of this situation are very desirable. Try not to dictate your ideas to subordinates, consult with them about a particular problem, listen to their opinions and counterarguments.

Step 2

Keep in mind, if you want to be a winner in a dispute, try to anticipate the questions of your employees in advance and think about your answers to them. Otherwise, you risk getting screwed up.

Step 3

Never raise your tone or scream; in the business world, the release of emotions is a manifestation of weakness, not strength. You cannot convince anyone by shouting, only you will earn a reputation as an emotionally unrestrained person.

Step 4

Even if you already have a ready-made decision and order in your head, do not impose it without prior discussion. And if you really have to take such an unpopular step, first prepare your subordinates for such a turn of events morally by holding an explanatory conversation with them.

Step 5

Start communicating with colleagues in the following manner: “Today I would like to discuss with you the next question (topic), your opinions on this matter, what comments will there be?”. As practice shows, in a healthy team, subordinates think the same way as the leader, moreover, they offer those solutions that came to the manager's mind, and it happens even better. The main thing is to be able to notice them in time.

Step 6

However, if your thoughts are concerned only with how to convince subordinates, and not solve the problem, you risk missing the best offer. So strike a healthy balance between your decision, with its inherent sense of self-worth, and the overall benefit to the company. Remember, in order to convince a person to make the right decision, you need to inspire him with a sense of trust in you, captivate with the result and interest in the implementation. And in order for your employees to have a sense of trust, you must have a solid baggage of correct management decisions that have brought positive results behind you.
