Movies often show how people go to completely insane things for the sake of work. We will tell you how extravagant and persistent one should be in real life.

When looking for a job, not only your skills and a neat suit are important, but also your perseverance. Recruiters need to be convinced that the position is interesting to you and that their company is the first on your list of potential employers.

However, everything should have boundaries, and persistence should too. In no case do you need to spend the night in a tent near the company office or chase your potential boss, whispering your name and insurance policy number in his ear, this will definitely not help you.

Perseverance, if it is adequate, can play into your hands, but only in three cases: you can insist that the HR manager you are interested in gets acquainted with your resume, you can persistently prove in an interview that you are a cool specialist (only without tears and kissing hands), as well as insisting on feedback after.

Most often, employers and HR specialists know perfectly well who they are looking for. If they like you, then the call for the next meeting will follow immediately. However, this does not mean that if the call was not received, one should get upset and immediately burn the company's business card.

For example, if you found out that for some reason you did not seem convincing enough, you should find out what competencies were not enough, what exactly were not convinced, and ask if you can personally contact the HR director. After the phone call, you may be given a second chance.

At the same time, there are other examples: when enterprising and persistent candidates begin to make inquiries on their own, bypassing the HR department, they try to find contacts of other employees in order to arrange an interview with the hiring manager. This does not always have a positive effect on the result.

Perseverance in the style of “contacting all channels”, “sending flowers after the interview”, “reminding of myself five times a day” - and similar examples happened in my practice. But this behavior does not guarantee you a job.

Perseverance, constancy, attentiveness and the ability to analyze the requirements and needs of the employer - this is what will definitely lead to success.
