The “golden age” of radio is perhaps over: the television and video industry has become ubiquitous. Nevertheless, it is difficult to imagine life without radio air. As an information channel, it is in demand for a wide variety of programs. It is possible to illustrate the preparation and conduct of radio broadcasting on the example of advertising materials typical for radio, addressed to a wide audience.
Instructions
Step 1
The main advantages of radio broadcasting: efficiency, variability of formats - from a mini-performance to a short announcement. There are also disadvantages: transience, limitations associated only with the auditory perception of information.
Step 2
You are preparing a promotional message for the airwaves. What will it be? Radio announcement, radio commercial - staged (game) radio story about the proposed product or service? Or an audio magazine - a thematic radio broadcast of an informational and advertising nature? The choice is yours. Perhaps the best option in your particular case will be a radio report - information from the place of the event (fair, exhibition), which can be both direct and indirect advertising. You can voice the consumer's impression of purchased products, convey information about new product launches to listeners, and more.
Step 3
When going on the air, address not to an impersonal wide audience, but to the person you represent, who is sitting next to you.
Step 4
Remember: the first phrases of your radio message are the most powerful and important. Engage, intrigue the listener with key information. From the very beginning, his attention should become stable, “riveted” to the message.
Step 5
Choose the optimal speech rate. Noted: the most comfortable tempo for listening is about two and a half words per second. A faster pace is perceived with difficulty.
Step 6
Help the listener to "see" the advertised product: mention its main characteristics - smell, color, dimensions.
Step 7
Repeat the name of the product or service more often (about 4 times within a minute).
Step 8
Accompany the advertisement of a particular product (service) with an expressive sound background: a special signal, melody, song. Successful musical accompaniment will help a positive perception of the text.
