The Czech Republic was once part of the Soviet country Czechoslovakia, but today a Schengen visa is required to visit it. Step 1

The first document you need is your passport. It must be valid for another 3 months after the end of the trip. The visa will not be pasted if there are no two blank pages in the passport. Step 2

Application form completed and signed by the person requesting the visa. It can be downloaded on the consulate's website and printed on two sheets, on both sides (this is an important requirement), or you can come to the consulate and ask right there. It is allowed to fill out the questionnaire both by hand and on a computer. If filled by hand, write in block letters. You need to glue a photo of 35 x 45 mm to the questionnaire. The photo is taken against a light background, it must be colored, corners are not allowed.

Step 3

Confirm the purpose of your stay in the country (the purpose is written in the questionnaire). If it is a transit, then you need to show visas and tickets to third countries. If tourism, then either attach an invitation from a travel company, or a printout with the reservation of all hotels for the entire duration of your route in Greece. Confirmation from the hotel must contain the following information: name, address and telephone number of the institution, full name of the traveler booking number, dates of stay and the application number in the booking system. Hotels usually send booking notifications by email. For those who go to visit private persons, you need to attach an invitation from these persons.

Step 4

Financial documents. If you are traveling on a private visit and the inviting party indicates that it undertakes to cover all your expenses, then you do not need to show financial documents. Otherwise, be sure to attach a bank statement, the amount on it should be sufficient for the entire stay in the country at a cost of at least 50 euros per day. To explain your income, attach a certificate of employment, in which you need to include the name of the company, the name of the chief director and accountant, your title and salary. The certificate must contain the stamp and contact details of the company.

Step 5

Tickets to the country. Printouts from flight booking sites, copies of bus or rail bookings will do. For those who drive their own car, the registration certificate for the car, as well as the original and a copy of the driver's license.

Step 6

Medical insurance, the amount of coverage for which must be at least 30 thousand euros. The insurance must be valid for the entire stay in the Schengen countries.
