Greece is on the list of countries that have signed the Schengen Agreement. To visit any country from this list, Russians need a visa, but if you already have any Schengen visa, then you do not need to make it to Greece separately. The rest will have to collect all the necessary documents.
Instructions
Step 1
International passport, which must be valid 3 months after the expected end of the trip to Greece. It must contain at least two blank pages. Make photocopies of all pages of your passport containing information or visas and attach them to the documents. If you have old passports in which Schengen visas were present, then show them too. Don't forget photocopies of significant pages from these passports. You will also need photocopies of all completed pages from your Russian passport.
Step 2
Application for a Schengen visa, usually in several copies (the number depends on the specific consulate). You need to fill out the form in English, the applicant must sign it. Glue one 35 x 45 mm color photo to the application form. Just attach another photo of the same to your documents. On its back, indicate the number of your foreign passport so that the picture is not lost.
Step 3
Confirmation of travel purposes. For those traveling on the tour, you need to attach an invitation from the Greek tour operator, a hotel voucher and a visa application from the local travel agency. Most likely, your tour operator will collect all the documents for the tour and provide them, you will not need to worry about this. But those who travel on their own need to attach a hotel reservation (printout from the website or fax). Individuals traveling on a private visit must show an invitation from the host and a copy of the inviting person's ID.
Step 4
Confirmation of the availability of finance for the trip. If you pay for your trip yourself, please attach a bank statement, stamped with the bank. If a sponsor helps you (this must be a close relative), you need a letter from him stating that he agrees to pay all your expenses, a statement from his account and a certificate from his place of work.
Step 5
Documents proving your employment in Russia. This can be a certificate from the place of work, if you are working. It must be issued no later than one month before the submission of documents. The certificate contains the name of the director and accountant, the signature of the latter, and the contact details of the company. The certificate must be written on letterhead and stamped. Private entrepreneurs need to provide certificates of registration of an individual entrepreneur and registration with the tax service. Pupils (students and schoolchildren) show a copy of the grade book or student card, as well as a certificate from the place of study, which must contain the contact details of this institution. Pensioners need to show a copy of their pension certificate. If you pay for your trip from the amount of your pension, you will also need a document confirming the receipt of your pension.
Step 6
Medical insurance, valid throughout the Schengen states, for the entire duration of the visa. The amount of coverage must be at least 30 thousand euros.
Step 7
Tickets to the country and back. You can attach a printout of your reservation for air tickets from the Internet, ferry or bus tickets. If you are driving a car, then the documents for it (registration certificate) and Green Card insurance.
