Registering a baby at the place of residence of one of the parents is a very important procedure. Moreover, it should not be delayed at all, since the state has set the exact terms for issuing all the documents necessary for the newborn. Of course, all this is the prose of life, but the prose is necessary. So how to prescribe a newly born baby?

Instructions

Step 1

To register a newly born baby, you need to contact the passport office related to the place of residence of the father or mother. Its employees will require the following documents from the parents - a signed and formulated statement from the father or mother, official extracts from personal accounts and house books at the place of residence, a certificate from the second parent that the baby is no longer registered at his place of residence, the original received birth certificates of the child (it is better to take several copies with you, as they may be required), originals of passports of both parents (it is also better to bring copies with you), marriage certificate (not strictly necessary, since the parents may not be in it), a statement from the second parent, also drawn up according to the approved model, stating that he does not object to the registration.

Step 2

Do not forget that all of the above documents (except for passports, birth certificates and marriage certificates) must be previously certified by the authorized head of the housing office. In the future, this procedure takes about 2-4 days, if all documents are collected and there are no errors in them. Then the employee of the passport office must also put a stamp on the birth certificate, which confirms the baby's place of residence. At the same time, there is no need to pay state fees or other contributions, since, according to the procedure approved by the state, this procedure is absolutely free. As a result, the parents will also receive a certificate of the child's registration and cohabitation with the parents.

Step 3

According to the legislation in force after 2002, the parents of a newborn must receive for him not only a birth certificate, registration and insurance policy, but also apply for the citizenship of a newly born baby. Without this documentary evidence, you will not be able to travel abroad with your child and receive government assistance (for example, a certificate for maternity capital). In the future, issued citizenship will also be needed to obtain the first passport.

Step 4

To carry out the procedure for obtaining citizenship, you must submit a signed application to the district office of the FMS, as well as the parents' passports and the baby's birth certificate. Do not forget that the FMS employees must carry out this procedure out of turn and directly on the day of the parents' appeal, after which the corresponding stamp will appear on the back of the birth certificate.
