The work book is a document confirming the work experience of the employee, all his movements during work. Incorrectly entered and incorrectly corrected entries can lead to problems when registering an old-age pension or a preferential pension, therefore, when correcting any incorrect entries, one should be guided by paragraphs 24 and 28 of the "Rules for maintaining and storing work books".

Necessary

  • - employee passport;
  • - marriage certificate, if personal data has been changed (divorce, change of surname, etc.);
  • - orders (decisions, extracts, etc.);
  • - documents on education (if the information needs to be changed in the column "education" or "profession").

Instructions

Step 1

If an incorrect entry is found on page number 1 in personal data, in the full name, entered information about education, date of birth, date of filling out the work book, or the employee has changed his personal data, for example, got married, then cross out the incorrect entry with one line, enter the correct ones next intelligence. Put a stamp on the inside of the cover and write down on what basis the corrections were made. As a basis, you can enter a marriage certificate and passport data or indicate an erroneous entry when filling out a work book.

Step 2

Do not correct entries if you entered them incorrectly in the "information about work" or "information about awards". Just indicate that the entry is invalid, put the seal, the signature of the authorized person and make the correct entry under the next serial number. Make all changes in the appropriate columns, as in the usual filling out of the work book.

Step 3

If you find an error during the initial filling out of the document, then fill out a new work book, write off and destroy the damaged form.

Step 4

When dismissing an employee, be sure to check the correctness of the entries. If an employee found that the entries were made incorrectly, for example, after many years when applying for a pension, then you are obliged to make corrections based on the submitted documents. As supporting documents for correcting entries, use: a passport with changed personal information, marriage certificate, archive certificates or data. If there are no documents for making a correct entry, and this happens often, then you are obliged to create a commission from the members of the trade union committee and, based on the decision of the commission, make the correct entry. Testimonies of witnesses, payment documents, bank accounts, etc. can serve as evidence confirming the length of service.
