Despite the large number of law graduates, there is still a shortage of qualified lawyers. Therefore, if you want to devote your life to this profession, you have wide career opportunities.
Instructions
Step 1
Get a law degree. To do this, choose one of the many universities that provide training in this specialty. Please note that degrees from public universities are often more in demand among employers, and besides, you have the opportunity to get an education at the expense of the budget.
Step 2
Decide what area of law you want to specialize in and what exactly to do. It is advisable to choose a specialization while studying at a university. With a law degree, you can become a lawyer, notary, judge, as well as a law enforcement officer. The choice depends primarily on your desire and inclination for a certain type of activity.
Step 3
To become a lawyer, get a job at a law firm and work there for at least two years. The length of service in the internal affairs bodies is also counted. After that, you will be given the opportunity to take the qualifying exams. To do this, contact the bar association in your city, taking with you a passport, a diploma of higher legal education, an extract from the work book about work in your specialty, as well as a document on the assignment of an individual tax authority (TIN). Prepare for the exam using a list of questions approved by the Bar Association. If you successfully pass the exam, you will be able to officially carry out legal functions, including being a defense attorney in court. After that, you can work independently or join one of the bar associations.
Step 4
To obtain the status of a notary, get a job as an assistant in a notary office. You must have worked there for at least a year. You will then be able to take a qualifying exam that includes the theory and practice of notaries. So you can get a license with which you can open your own notary office or become a public notary.
