All enterprises, plants, factories, as well as individual places and sites are classified according to the type of production, the definition of which is necessary for licensing and reporting. To determine the type of production, use the criteria outlined in the specialized classifier.
Instructions
Step 1
Modern methods describing how to determine the type of production depend on several factors. Therefore, in order to classify the production activity of your enterprise as one or another type, carefully study the following criteria. First, the complete range of all manufactured products, as well as its constancy and production volumes. Remember that with a large non-constant nomenclature and insignificant volumes of output of each individual product, production refers to a single one. If your plant or factory produces a small, permanent assortment of products in large quantities, consider it as mass production.
Step 2
Secondly, when determining the type of production, pay attention to whether various operations are assigned to specific workers. Keep in mind that mass production is characterized by complete consolidation; with a serial type, such consolidation is carried out only partially, and in the absence of dividing the production process into stages, feel free to refer the enterprise to a single production. Thirdly, analyze the equipment, accessories and tools used, since the use of only specialized tools is typical, mainly, exclusively for mass production.
Step 3
Next, consider such criteria for determining the type of production as the qualifications of workers, the cost of production, as well as the specialization of individual sections and workshops. In the case when unskilled employees work at your enterprise, the production cost is not high, and there is only subject specialization behind the shops, consider the enterprise to be a mass production type. Serial production is much more difficult to identify, it is characterized by average indicators, when the manufactured products are not of a mass nature and regularity, but at the same time they are produced in rather large batches.
Step 4
If you want to determine the type of production, carry out the necessary calculations based on the employee's working time schedule, the amount of products produced for the reporting period. Then draw up an annual report, where all the indicators will already be presented in a unified form, thanks to which you will see in the context of both the nomenclature and the scale of products, labor intensity and frequency of production, as well as the nature of the production technology.
