Now children are prescribed in the apartment immediately after birth. This process is not complicated at all, if everything is done correctly. Usually, children are registered at the place of residence of the father and mother, and if the parents live separately, then the place of registration of the child depends on the wishes of the parents - either from one or the other, but it can also be registered in the grandmother's apartment.

• Passport of mother or father (+ copy);

Step 2

Prepare a certified consent of the child's mother to register the baby with the grandmother. This document is subject to mandatory notarization. It is important to remember: this document is necessary, since the granddaughter is registered not with her mother, but with her grandmother.

Step 3

Gather the rest of the documents that are required to register the child. Most of them can be immediately obtained on the day of contacting the housing office, the HOA or the house management company, depending on what the house in which the baby will be registered belongs to. These documents include:

• Extract from the personal account of the grandmother, which is issued in the EIRTS;

• Extract from home books from the place of residence of the grandmother;

• Certificate confirming that the child is not registered with the parents, from the place of residence of the parents;

• Parents' statement of consent to the registration of the child with the grandmother.

The exact terms of registration are not determined by law, although if registration with the granddaughter is completed in the first month of the child's life, a certificate from the place of stay of the second guardian will not be required.

Step 4

Go to the passport office. Since the child is registered with the grandmother, it is she who, at the place of her registration, must contact the passport office with the necessary documents and an appropriate application.

When submitting all the documents for registration, you will have to leave the entire list of documents (copies) and the baby's birth certificate in the original at the passport office.

Step 5

After two or three days, go to the passport office for documents (you can find out the exact time when submitting the documents required for registration). The stamp of registration will be affixed, according to the legislation of the Russian Federation, on the birth certificate of the child, namely, on the reverse side of it. That's probably all. In fact, there is nothing complicated, only perseverance and patience are required.
