In some cases, employees require additional unpaid leave. In order to take time off at your own expense, you need to notify the employer in writing. For this, a statement is drawn up. The documentary registration of such leave is regulated by Article 128 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, which states that the day off is provided with the consent of the employer.

Instructions
Step 1
The period of time off at one's own expense can be no more than 14 days in a working year, which differs significantly from the calendar year. The working year period is 15 months as opposed to the calendar year, which lasts 12 months. Day off without pay is provided only for valid reasons, which include the birth of children, registration of marriage, the death of a close relative. In such a situation, the employer has no right to refuse. In other cases, the granting of leave is under the jurisdiction of the head of the company, since the Labor Code of the Russian Federation does not provide clear explanations as to which reasons are considered valid and which are not.
Step 2
Please note that you will be guaranteed a vacation at your own expense if you pass entrance exams, defend your thesis (project), study at an educational institution on a full-time basis. In these cases, a day off without saving earnings is given for up to 15 days. This is regulated by Article 173 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
Step 3
For disabled people, war veterans, heroes of social labor, the number of vacation days at their own expense increases, which is spelled out in article 128 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. In the above cases, the employer has no right to refuse you such time off, in other situations - at the discretion of the manager.
Step 4
To receive vacation at your own expense, fill out an application. Address it to the director of the firm where you are performing your duties. Enter the number of days you need time off. Please note that you must notify the employer 14 days before the actual start of unpaid leave. In case of an emergency, notify your manager the day before the day off. After sending your application with documentary evidence of the validity of the reason (if any), the director puts a visa on the document.
Step 5
After that, the director issues an order (order), for this, form T-6 is used. on the basis of this document, you have the right to go on vacation without pay. Just keep in mind the following. Day off, which during the working year is more than 14 days, is not included in the calculation for registration of the main vacation.
