If you decide to become a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, then you can do this only after you renounce the citizenship of your country. And you can get a new one only on the territory of this republic.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are a citizen of the Russian Federation, contact the FMS at your place of residence with an application for renunciation of citizenship. You will be asked to provide identity documents, certificates from the tax service on the absence of arrears, as well as from a passport officer on deregistration.
Step 2
You will be asked to submit the same documents in Uzbekistan. Prepare and evidence of your authority to obtain a new citizenship. In this case, its receipt will be formalized in a simplified manner, without living under a residence permit in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 5 years. This right is granted to: - persons who were born in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan; - persons whose parents, as well as grandparents are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan or were born on the territory of this state; - children under 14 years old who were born outside the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, but having at least one from a parent who is a citizen of that country.
Step 3
If you are eligible for a simplified acquisition of citizenship, you will need a police clearance certificate (including under the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan), as well as documents confirming the legality of sources of subsistence.
Step 4
If you are married to a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, then you will be able to obtain citizenship only five years after you have permanently lived in this country. Prepare a marriage certificate. In this and other cases that are not related to obtaining citizenship on the basis of direct relationship or birthright, you will have to collect not only documents confirming the legality of sources of existence, but also registration certificates.
Step 5
If you have special services to this state, then you can apply to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with an application for citizenship. Until now, participants in the Second World War who live in any country in the world have the right to it.
Step 6
If you are a high-class specialist in a field of interest to Uzbekistan, you can also send a petition to the President of this country.
