Compliance with the rules for filling out the work book is a guarantee of compliance with the labor and pension rights of any employee, and the absence of disputes with the employer. The relevant rules are enshrined in a special instruction of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, which should be followed by all organizations, individual entrepreneurs, and other employers. So, when filling out information about an employee, it is necessary to indicate his full surname, first name, patronymic, date of birth, education, profession, specialty. The relevant information must be recorded on the basis of a passport, documents confirming the presence of a certain education, qualifications. The correctness of this record is certified by the signature of the employee himself, as well as the personnel officer responsible for maintaining such documents.

Column 3 of the "Job Information" section must contain the full name of the organization to which the employee is accepted, as well as its abbreviated designation, if any. Under this entry with the stamping of the corresponding serial number, information is indicated on the acceptance of the employee in a specific structural unit, indicating the position (profession, specialty), as well as with reference to a specific order, order of the employer, on the basis of which employment is carried out. In the same section, under the next serial numbers, data on the assignment of a category, category to an employee is recorded, the necessary changes are made (for example, related to renaming the organization).

The greatest difficulty and responsibility is characterized by the entry of termination records, which must also be recorded in the "Job Information" section. In the first column of this section, the number of the record is recorded, in the second - the date of termination of the employment contract, in the third - the reason for the employee's dismissal, in the fourth - the name and details of the document on the basis of which the relevant information was entered (employer's order). In this case, filling in the reason for terminating the contract must be accompanied by a textual description of the relevant basis and a link to a specific article, clause of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. So, upon termination of the contract of his own free will, the following entry is made in the third column: "Fired at his own request, paragraph 3 of Article 77 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation."
