Recently, more and more organizations have recruited employees who are citizens of other states. When applying for a job as a foreign citizen, HR services should take into account a number of nuances that distinguish the hiring of an IS from the hiring of a Russian citizen.

Step 1
The legal concept "foreign citizen" means persons who are not citizens of the Russian Federation, while having the citizenship of any other country.

In general terms, hiring an IG is similar to hiring a citizen of the Russian Federation, at the same time, the registration procedure is preceded by the process of obtaining various permits and certificates, there are nuances in the package of documents for employment and in the taxation procedure.
Step 3
First of all, a foreign citizen wishing to find a job on the territory of Russia must obtain a work permit. For its registration, the IG must apply to the nearest branch of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) with an application and a package of necessary documents. The standard processing time for such an application is 10 days, after which a foreign citizen is either issued a work permit or is refused by the labor migration department.
Step 4
When obtaining a work permit, a foreign citizen will also have to provide a number of medical certificates confirming the absence of diseases that are dangerous to others (drug addiction, AIDS, etc.)
Step 5
The employer enters into a fixed-term employment contract with the IG strictly for the period for which he has a work permit. After registering a foreign citizen as his employee, the employer is obliged to notify the FMS within three days of hiring the IG (a notice of recruitment can be submitted either directly to the FMS department or sent by mail).
Step 6
Within 10 days, a notification should be sent to the tax office in accordance with a special form for registration of tax registration of foreign citizens.
Step 7
In case of violation of the rules for informing the migration service and tax authorities, penalties may be applied to the employer.
