Necessary

  • - birth certificate;
  • - photos;
  • - receipt of payment of state duty;
  • - statement.

Instructions

Step 1

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a passport was issued at the age of 14 in 1997. This procedure is simple and does not take much time. A passport is issued at the district office of the Federal Migration Service at the place of registration of a citizen. But in order for the FMS staff to start issuing your passport, you need to come to them with a certain package of documents and a signed application. Therefore, before obtaining a passport, you need to prepare all the necessary documents for this.

Step 2

To get started, order 4 photographs for your passport size 3.5x4.5 cm from a photo studio. They can be either black-and-white or color. Usually in photo studios there is a separate service - passport photo, but it is better to make sure in advance that the photos will be made in the required format. No sunglasses or hats are allowed in the photo. However, if you constantly wear glasses due to poor eyesight, in the photo you must be sure to take these glasses.

Step 3

Next, prepare a birth certificate and a receipt for payment of state duty. These documents, along with photographs, must be taken to the department of the FMS in your area. Fill in the application for the issuance of a passport in the established form and sample.

Step 4

Submit the entire package of documents along with the application to the specialist of the migration service department. You will be assigned a deadline for issuing your passport and returning your birth certificate. Usually, a passport is issued no later than 10 days after all the necessary documents have been submitted.

Step 5

At the appointed time, go to the FMS department and pick up your documents. The next change of passport (and this should be remembered) will occur when a citizen reaches the age of 20.
