Instructions

Step 1

Labor law requires you to notify your direct employer that you are leaving your job at least 14 days in advance. This must be done not only verbally, but also in writing in order for the dismissal to really take place. During the two weeks that you work, the employer must find a new employee and bring him up to date.

Step 2

The letter of resignation should be written in the name of the CEO of the company in which you work. If you work in a fairly large office, you may not even see the head of the organization, since the application will be signed by your immediate boss. Only a signed statement will be valid, you can present it to the HR department.

Step 3

The 14-day period, which you give the employer in advance, begins the day after you formally notify the manager of your intention to quit. The Labor Code of the Russian Federation provides for the possibility that you change your mind to quit, in which case you just need to withdraw the application. However, there is a nuance here - if a new employee has already been invited to your position and a written agreement has been concluded with him, you must make room for him.

Step 4

The order, according to which you will be dismissed from this job, will be prepared only on the eve of your last working day in this company. On the final working day, the employer will be obliged to issue you a work book, as well as pay all the money owed to you: salary, vacation compensation and bonuses, if any.

Step 5

Certain circumstances may speed up your dismissal. You can just negotiate with the employer, and if he has no complaints against you, you can start working elsewhere much earlier. If you enter a university or retire, in a word, you have a good reason, the employer will be obliged to let you go. If you were on probation, the period of work for you will be reduced from 14 days to 3. In addition, if the employer has not fulfilled the terms of the employment contract, you can resign at any time.
