Not everyone can build a military career. Unlike any civilian worker, the military has many rules to follow. Check-in during vacation, write reports, no “leave early from work”, constantly under supervision. Therefore, not everyone can withstand this. But how do you quit military service of your own free will?
Instructions
Step 1
In accordance with the law, a soldier has the right to resign from service at his own request, with a valid reason. In practice, the “good cause” question is a bit vague. Lying about having sick parents and needing to care for them most likely won't work. After all, your dossier can be checked, the age and health status of each of your relatives, including your cousin from Syktyvkar, can be checked.
Step 2
The reason must be given such that the performance of military service is simply impossible. Such valid reasons include, for example, the inability to support a family. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the living wage in the region where you are doing the service, the reason why other family members are not able to help you, etc.
Step 3
Also, the death of a close relative is a valid reason. Again, this death should affect the impossibility of military service.
Step 4
Pregnancy of a soldier's wife with a significant deterioration in her health or raising a child without a second parent can also be considered as valid reasons, provided that the second parent has not been deprived of parental rights. If you do have a valid reason for resigning, write a report to your commander stating that reason. After the commander signs the report, he will send it to the certification committee for consideration. And already she will decide whether you can quit or not.
Step 5
Don't expect all this to be quick and easy. There will be a long wait until all the necessary authorities certify and consider your report. Typically, such cases take from several months to six months. If the commission does not recognize your reason for dismissal from military service as valid enough, and military service is possible in your conditions, you can appeal this in accordance with the established procedure, but, most likely, it will take even longer.
Step 6
Since the certification commission is subordinate to the unit commander, and they never want to "release" anyone from the army, it is best to indicate several good reasons at once when writing a report. After all this, do not forget to read the law. Depending on how many years you have served, you may or may not be entitled to certain benefits, payments, etc.
