The procedure for transferring a pension when moving is determined by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. At the same time, a citizen can transfer his pension not only to the place of his official registration, but also to the settlement where he actually lives.
When moving to a permanent place of residence in another locality, pensioners inevitably have a problem associated with the need to transfer their pension. The specified transfer is not automatically carried out, therefore, certain actions are required from the recipient of this social payment. The procedure for implementing this procedure is enshrined in a special clarification given by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. This clarification applies to all cases of pension transfer, regardless of the specific region or settlement to which the pensioner is moving.
What should a pensioner do to transfer a pension?
To transfer a pension, a pensioner must write a statement at the office of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. Immediately after moving, you should visit the branch in the new place of residence with a passport and documents confirming the presence of registration at a specific address in this locality (region). At the department, the citizen is provided with a special application to fill out, after which all the translation actions are performed by authorized officials. It should be borne in mind that when filling out the specified application, the pensioner can immediately choose the method of delivery of pension payments that is acceptable to him. If a pensioner is a citizen of the Russian Federation, then he may not provide information about registration at a new address, since the pension to such persons can be transferred even to the place of actual residence. To do this, it is enough to indicate your new address when filling out the application.
What happens after the application is submitted?
After filling out an application in a new place, an official of the Pension Fund department sends an electronic request for the transfer of a citizen's pension case. This request goes to the department that was in charge of issuing the pension to this person before his move. On the basis of this request, the transfer of the pension file is carried out, as a result of which it is registered with the branch of the Pension Fund from which the appeal was received. After registration, the pension will be paid to the citizen at the new place of residence, and the method that the pensioner indicated when filling out the application will be used to transfer funds. It should be borne in mind that the transfer of a pension case and the transfer of a pension are the right of every citizen, therefore, the authorized body is obliged to perform the described actions on the basis of the submitted application.
