It is necessary

Instructions

Step 1

Collect the documents you need to exchange your passport. To obtain a new document by age, an old passport will be enough, as well as documents for affixing stamps - a marriage certificate and a military ID. To change the document due to a change in the surname, you will also need a certificate of the change of name. Also, if you wish, you can take with you the birth certificates of your minor children. In this case, they will be entered on your passport.

Step 2

Pay the state fee for changing your passport. It is about 200 rubles. But if you change your passport, as the old one is damaged through your fault, then you will have to pay more - 500 rubles. A receipt with details can be downloaded from the website of the Federal Migration Service. Also, the details can be found in any branch of Sberbank. Do not forget to add the receipt of payment of the fee to the package of documents.

Step 3

Take 2 passport sized photos. To get them, contact a photo studio.

Step 4

Come to the local FMS office with all the documents. There, fill out a special application stating that you want to change your passport. Indicate in it your last name, first name and patronymic, as well as the reason for the exchange and the date of filling out the document. Please put your personal signature. Give all documents to the employee.

Step 5

After two weeks, you will be able to collect your passport. Do not forget to check with the FMS department the time for issuing passports - it may differ from the one that was set for accepting documents. Upon receipt of the document, carefully check whether all the passport data correspond to reality, and also sign in the passport in the appropriate column.
