In addition, this act regulates entrepreneurial activity, since its implementation is associated with the inevitable entry into civil law relations. Intangible benefits (honor, dignity of a citizen, business reputation of an organization) are also protected by the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.

Who is involved in relations regulated by the Civil Code of the Russian Federation?

Virtually any subjects of law known to Russian legislation are involved in civil law relations. The main participants are citizens, organizations, public law entities. Representatives of the last designated group are Russia itself, its constituent entities, municipalities, which, when participating in these relations, act on an equal footing with citizens and organizations. Equally, the Civil Code of the Russian Federation extends its effect to the relevant relationships with the participation of foreigners, foreign organizations, and stateless persons. At the same time, any relations based on administrative, power subordination between the parties (for example, tax, criminal law relations) are excluded from the scope of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, since they do not meet the basic principles indicated above.
