Many people get sick and have to take sick leave. When discharged, a person is given a certificate of incapacity for work. This document has changed a lot recently. In order not to get into an awkward situation with unpleasant consequences, you need to know what a new sick leave looks like, and be able to distinguish the real from the fake.

Step 1
The new sick leave is A4. It is made of special blue paper that feels like paper money. There are many cells on the sheet to fill the yellowish tint. The letterhead is slightly lighter in the center than at the edges.
Step 2
If you look at the form in the light, you can see the watermarks. The logo of the fund with ears of corn and the inscription: "Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation" should be displayed here.
Step 3
Each certificate of incapacity for work has a twelve-digit barcode in the upper right corner. When the sick leave is converted into electronic form, this barcode can be used to read information about a person.
Step 4
There is a small print on the sick leave. Under the “doctor's signature” column is not a line, as it may seem at first glance, but a small text: “certificate of incapacity for work”. The same inscriptions are at the bottom of the sheet under the place of the list of the accountant and the manager.
Step 5
The forms assume the presence of a binary code. It is located in the upper left corner. To date, it is not possible to apply it to sheets, but it is planned in the future. It should be encoded information about a sick person.
Step 6
The disability sheet changes color under ultraviolet light. Blue and yellow under the influence of this light will change to green and red. The protective fibers will become more visible. Devices for checking banknotes can shine through with ultraviolet light, they can also check forms.
Step 7
The inscriptions on the sick leave are applied with a special paint, which will completely disappear under the influence of infrared radiation.
