A new driver's license began to be issued in 2011. The purpose of this innovation was to bring the national document confirming the right to drive a car in line with international requirements.
Instructions
Step 1
The new driver's license is a pinkish-blue plastic card the size of a standard business card recommended by the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. On the front side of the rights, a color photograph of the owner is pasted, which is taken at the time of receipt of the document, and next to it is printed information about the owner in Russian and English.
Step 2
On the rights, you can read the surname, name, patronymic of the owner of the document, the date and place of his birth without a specific address, the date of obtaining the rights and the expiration of their validity. There is also printed information about the traffic police department that issued the license, the driver's license number, the owner's place of birth and the category of rights are indicated. The international designation RUS is placed above the photo, which makes it clear that the rights belong to a citizen of the Russian Federation. The photo is signed by the owner.
Step 3
On the back of the new driver's license, you can see a table with the names of vehicle categories and pictures that decipher them. Opening and expiration dates are printed in the category. Additional categories have also appeared in the new rights: for passenger cars with a trailer (BE), for trucks with a trailer (CE) and for buses with a trailer (DE).
Step 4
On the left side of the back there is a barcode, and on the bottom right there is a series of 4-digit driving license and its 6-digit number. There is also a place for notes on this side of the rights.
Step 5
The new driver's license has a high degree of protection against counterfeiting. Thus, the applied two-dimensional barcode contains the owner's personal data in encrypted form, which the inspector can read using a special data reading system. In addition, the rights are reserved by a color-variable area and numbering made with luminescent paint.
