If you decide to expand your living space with the help of an extension, you need to legalize the changes that have occurred in the state body. To do this, collect all the necessary documents with which you go directly to the court of your city or district.

Application for establishing ownership of the extension. Here, in a few words, describe your motivation that prompted you to start building additional space. At the same time, the court will consider the birth of a child, the shortage of residential meters per family member, etc. as valid reasons. Also indicate the year of construction in the application;

Pay the state fee and prepare a photocopy of the receipt;

Collect documents confirming your ownership of the land plot on the territory of which the construction was carried out;

Make a photocopy of the cadastral plan for this site;

Attach a project of the building and annex to the package of documents;

Pass a check in special departments, which will give you a confirmation of compliance with all design, fire, environmental, construction, sanitary and other standards established by Russian legislation;

Submit invoices and receipts, acceptance certificates and other papers that confirm the fact that contractors acted on your behalf and payments were made exactly from your wallet.

Many people can make an extension of additional living space on a plot that is not in their ownership (for example, owned by the state). In this case, take care of obtaining the appropriate rights to the land. This can be a problem if there are third parties who also apply for the purchase of this site. Another unfavorable option is the interest from the state (it is planned to demolish existing buildings, or to fully develop a promising area).
Now you just have to wait for the court decision, on the basis of which you will receive a certificate of ownership of the land plot, house and extension.
