Step 1

If the employee falls ill during the vacation or before it starts, he is obliged to notify the employer. At the end of the illness and closing the certificate of incapacity for work, the employee must submit the certificate of incapacity for work to the accounting department of the organization.

Step 2

An order for the extension of sick leave is not required from the head of the enterprise, although many companies consider the presence of this document mandatory.

Step 3

In the time sheet of the unified form T-12, mark the days of disability during vacation with the letter "B" in accordance with the presented sick leave. Mark the days of annual paid leave with the letter combination "OT".

Step 4

Days of incapacity for work, in accordance with the sick leave provided by the employee, the accounting department of the enterprise must calculate and issue the required amount to the employee.

Step 5

Now you need to decide on the number of days for which you need to extend the employee's vacation. If the employee's incapacity for work goes beyond the vacation, then the number of days for extending the vacation corresponds only to the number that falls on his vacation.

Step 6

For example, an employee's vacation is 14 calendar days, from November 14 to November 27. The certificate of incapacity for work corresponds to November 17 to 28. Thus, the employee has used 3 days of his allotted vacation. Unused amount equals 11 days. Thus, the vacation must be extended by 11 calendar days. The day of the employee's exit falls on December 10, but since this is a day off, the first working day after the vacation must be considered December 12.

Step 7

Tell the employee the date of his return to work. It is necessary to pay the annual basic paid leave before the employee leaves on vacation. If the employee first fell ill, and vacation pay has already been credited, but not handed over, give him money in accordance with the payroll.
