Step 1

An employment contract is a written agreement between the employee and the employer, according to which the employee undertakes to perform certain functions in the employer's enterprise, and the employer undertakes to pay monetary remuneration for the performance of these functions. In short, this document establishes a legal link between the parties to an employment relationship. The contract can be concluded for an indefinite period, for a certain period, but not more than five years, or for the period of performance of certain works. By the nature of labor relations, an agreement can be concluded: at the main place of work, part-time, for seasonal work, temporary work, a civil service contract.

Step 2

The employer, when formalizing labor relations, in particular when concluding an employment contract, has the right to demand from the employee the documents specified in Article 65 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. Such documents include: a document proving the identity of a citizen (passport or other document replacing it); work book; certificate of state pension insurance; documents required for military registration, as a rule, they are presented by persons liable for military service, for example, medical workers or persons subject to conscription; educational document, if labor duties are related to the availability of the necessary knowledge.

Step 3

When concluding an employment contract, additional documents may be requested, which are provided for by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation or other legislative documents. If an employment contract is concluded by a person for the first time, then the work book and the certificate of state pension insurance are drawn up by the employer independently. If a person applying for work has lost a work book, then at the request of the employee, the organization can issue a new work book. It is not correct to demand a work book from a person applying for a job subject to part-time jobs

Step 4

In practice, the employer may require a certificate of assignment of a taxpayer identification number (TIN certificate), documents confirming additional education received, certificates of attended trainings, completion of additional or special courses, awards diplomas for work performed, recommendations and certificates from previous places works, a certificate in the form of 2 personal income tax.
