Summer is approaching, and with it the holiday season. But in order to take advantage of the rest, you need to take care of it in advance, because the schedule is drawn up even before the onset of the new calendar year. To know your rights and obligations as an employer, read Russian labor law.

Step 1
You can take advantage of the vacation if you have worked in the organization for more than six months. This period includes: days of forced absenteeism, for example, in the case of late payment of wages; time of actual stay at work; vacation at own expense, if its duration does not exceed 14 days. These circumstances are spelled out in article 121 of the Labor Code. But there are also exceptions. Let's say you are a minor. In this case, you can use your right to vacation without having worked six months. This condition also applies to pregnant women, as well as those who have adopted a foster child who is less than 3 months old.
Step 2
You can break your vacation into parts. But the law prescribes a condition that says that one part of the vacation should not be less than 14 days. Sharing the rest should take place only with the consent of the parties. To do this, write a statement to the head of the organization with a request to provide a vacation incompletely, in the document indicate the date and duration of the rest.
Step 3
According to labor law, the employer is obliged to draw up a vacation schedule two weeks before the onset of the calendar year. If you are not indifferent to the date of rest, coordinate it with the leader. To do this, you can also write a request statement. If you are a pregnant woman, a minor employee or a disabled person, you can choose the vacation time you want, the employer cannot ignore it.
Step 4
Two weeks before the due date of rest, the employer or employee of the personnel department must send a notice to you. Read it, date and sign it. If the notification has not been received, write a statement. In it, indicate the date of the vacation, type and duration.
Step 5
Based on the above documents, the head of the company will draw up an order, and the accountant will calculate vacation pay and issue a calculation note. You must receive payments no later than three days before the start of the vacation.
