Instructions

Step 1

Determine the amount of all payments, which include salaries, bonuses, and so on, for which insurance contributions were accrued in the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation. For the period for determining payments, take the last 12 calendar months that preceded the moment when the period of temporary disability began.

Step 2

Determine the average daily earnings of an employee who is entitled to sick leave benefits. To do this, divide the total amount of payments for 12 calendar months by the number of working days falling on this accounting period.

Step 3

Determine the amount of benefits paid for each of the days the employee missed due to incapacity for work. To do this, multiply the employee's average daily earnings by the amount of the allowance, expressed as a percentage. The amount of the benefit may depend on various criteria, such as seniority.

Step 4

Compare your daily allowance with your maximum daily allowance. In the event that the daily allowance calculated by you has not exceeded the maximum amount, then the temporary disability allowance is paid based on the average daily amount.

Step 5

Calculate the total benefit paid. To do this, multiply the amount of the daily allowance by the number of calendar days during which the employee will be in inpatient or home treatment. The length of the maximum period that can be paid by the employer is determined in accordance with the 6th and 10th articles of Law No. 255 of the Federal Law.
