No one is immune from the possibility of getting sick. Even the most irreplaceable employee in the enterprise, who has practically never been sick, may sooner or later face the need to improve his health in a medical institution or at home. In order not to lose the sick leave owed to you upon returning to your workplace, you need to correctly follow the procedure for obtaining and paying for sick leave.

Instructions

Step 1

Calculate the number of days an employee missed due to illness. The terms of the employee's incapacity for work are indicated on the sick leave. Upon return of the employee to the workplace, the correctly completed sick leave is transferred to the personnel department of the enterprise. Please note that sick leave certificates issued by: ambulance stations, sanitary-preventive institutions, blood transfusion stations, physiotherapy hospitals, spa clinics, private health institutions and forensic medical institutions are not subject to payment.

Step 2

Determine the employee's average daily earnings. To determine the average daily wage, it is necessary to calculate the ratio of the total average wage to the number of working days actually worked. The amount of the average salary of an employee includes such types of income that are included in the payroll fund and those from which personal income tax is withheld. Remember that the calculation of the average wage does not include periods of: vacation, sick leave and other downtime.

Step 3

Set the percentage of sick leave pay. This percentage is determined based on his continuous work experience. If the employee's experience is less than 5 years, then the sick leave will be paid at the rate of 60% of the average earnings. With an employee's work experience from 5 to 8 years - 80%, and over 8 years - 100% of the average earnings.

Step 4

Accrue the employee's salary, which is due to him according to the sick leave. To calculate sick leave payments, you must: multiply the average daily earnings by the number of working days missed due to illness and multiply by the percentage of sick leave payments. For calculations, it is better to use programs convenient for this, for example, Excel.
