Everyone has a vocation, but it often fades into the background, because even in high school you hear that a good job is a job that pays a lot for. Therefore, many people think exactly about how to enter a university for a prestigious specialty. However, knowing your calling and using it makes it easier to work and earn money: doing what you like is better.
Instructions
Step 1
Remember what you liked as a child, what did you do well in school - solving math problems or writing essays? Our vocation is formed in childhood. Of course, it is impossible to determine exactly who in the future an eight-year-old child needs to become, but a penchant for the exact or humanities can already be identified.
Step 2
You might think about what you enjoy doing. It doesn't matter what it will be - reading, gardening, playing on the computer. Hobbies talk about people more than they think. Those who like, for example, embroidery (that is, a rather monotonous work that requires attention and accuracy), are likely inclined to meticulous work that requires concentration. Accordingly, an administrative job or a job, for example, in accounting, is suitable for a woman who is fond of embroidery.
Step 3
Career guidance tests help determine vocation. Of course, they cannot give an exact answer to what you are most capable of, who you should become, but at least they will help you determine the areas of activity in which you can try yourself in order to accurately determine the vocation. They also help weed out what is definitely not right for you. You can take a career guidance test at a recruiting agency or in a special center.
Step 4
It is impossible to be one hundred percent sure whether this or that field of activity is right for you before starting work in it. Sometimes it happens that a specialty that seemed interesting at the university turns out to be boring in practice.
Step 5
If you realized that your job is not very suitable for you, does not like it, does not correspond to your vocation (for example, it turned out that you are more attracted to journalism than to advertising), it is better to think about changing it or at least try to work in the area that you consider your calling. It is known that what you like turns out better. Accordingly, it is easier to make a career doing what you enjoy.
