The role of a manager, a leader, is not only honorable, but also very responsible. These are people who are responsible for making decisions. These decisions affect not only them, but also those employees who are subordinate to them. One of the management tools is the leadership style, and how correctly it is chosen affects the performance of the department entrusted to the head. You can define the style of leadership by some formal criteria.

Instructions

Step 1

An authoritarian leadership style is characterized by an unambiguous and clear, established order. A leader of this type communicates with subordinates through instructions and orders, which they must strictly follow. Such a manager does not recognize persuasion and explanations as a tool of motivation. It is almost impossible to influence the opinion of such a leader to someone who is subordinate to him. But this type of leader is perfect for paramilitary organizations with a clear hierarchy.

Step 2

A manager who adheres to an analytical style in communicating with subordinates bases his decisions on the analysis of available data and an accurate calculation that excludes the influence of random factors. He considers the decision made as a result of the analysis to be the only correct one and strives to fulfill it as efficiently as possible. Such a leader relies on his intelligence and analytical skills, and is prone to perfectionism. This leadership style is effective when the enterprise is engaged in scientific research, engineering and financial calculations.

Step 3

The creative leader is characterized by non-standard thinking and creativity. Not only the result is important to him, but also the process itself. It's more of a personality type, so creative leaders don't necessarily have to be found in art-related fields. These people believe that meaning is more important than formalities. His subordinates participate in decision-making, the free flow of their ideas - this is the material on the basis of which, after appropriate analysis and processing, management decisions are made. Such a leader will be glad to see in any company, but, of course, not in every department.

Step 4

The social style of leadership is that leadership is aware of its responsibility, first of all, for its subordinates. Therefore, he tries to meet their needs, which are a condition for productive work. He always makes decisions, in consultation with the team, considering himself the first among equals. A socially oriented leader often takes into account the personal problems of employees, makes compromises for which subordinates are grateful to him and give the work more strength and energy than is required by their job responsibilities. This leadership style is in demand in any area of the enterprise.
