If you are buying a mobile phone, you can identify the manufacturer by the IMEI code. To find out this code, dial * # 06 # on the keyboard. The seventh and eighth digits will indicate the name of the country in which the final assembly of the device was made. In China, phones with numbers 80 are assembled, in Korea - 30, in the USA - 67, in the UK - 19 or 40, in Germany - 78 or 20, in Finland - 10 or 70.

Vehicle buyers can identify the manufacturer by the VIN serial number. The first three digits of the code are the world manufacturer's number, with the first digit indicating the country, the second - the manufacturer, and the third - the production department at the enterprise.
