When a newborn citizen of the Russian Federation is registered with the Federal Migration Service, they are automatically affixed to the birth certificate and a stamp of citizenship.

Step 1
Contact the passport office at the place of registration of the child or one of his parents to whom you are going to register him, if you register a newborn at the place of residence. If the parents of the newborn are registered at the same address, it is enough to visit any of them with their passport. Depending on the region, the passport office may be located in the engineering service of your area or another analogue of the former housing offices. In many regions, for this, you can also contact the multifunctional center (MFC) for the provision of public services, and, for example, in a number of districts of Moscow, only in the MFC of your area.
Step 2
Ask to visit the passport office of the other parent if you are registering a newborn and you yourself are registered at different addresses. He will have to present a passport and give written consent to registration, which must be certified by the head of the engineering service or its equivalent.

Give the passport officer a set of necessary documents.

Come for the documents on time, visit the passport office, where they were handed over. Usually you have to go there in three days. Upon receipt, check if the birth certificate has a stamp stating that the child is a citizen of the Russian Federation.
Step 5
Contact the passport office at the place of registration of the child if, for some reason, he has neither an insert nor a stamp on citizenship.
Step 6
Tell the passport officer that you need to put a stamp on the citizenship of the Russian Federation, present your passport, birth certificate of the child and, if necessary, other documents, for example, on obtaining citizenship.
Step 7
Come in due time for a birth certificate with a stamp confirming the child's citizenship.
