Based on the current legislation and, in particular, the "Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights", you have the right to return the money for the TV in any case - whether it was sold to you in good condition, not working or with defects. You can only request a refund from the seller, so you will have to contact the store where you purchased it.
Instructions
Step 1
The buyer's demand for a refund for the goods qualifies as termination of the purchase and sale agreement. If you want to terminate the contract with the store for the reason of the detected malfunction, then you will need to write a corresponding statement addressed to the director.
Step 2
In the address part of the application, after the position of the head and the name of the outlet, indicate your surname, initials, residence address, passport details and contact phone number.
Step 3
In the text of the application, describe where and when the TV was purchased, indicate its full name and brand. Describe the identified deficiency and state your request to return the amount paid, indicating the return method: by postal order, in cash through the store's cashier or to your bank account. In the latter case, write the bank details and your account number to transfer the specified amount.
Step 4
If the TV is under warranty, then the store must conduct an examination of the marriage you specified at its own expense. But if you are not sure of the seller's good faith, then it makes sense, after detecting a malfunction, to contact the nearest service center and pay for an independent examination, the document on which you will attach to your application for a refund. In this case, you have the right to demand that the amount of compensation be increased by the cost of the expert opinion. Important: when handing over the TV to a service center for examination, indicate in the application that you refuse to repair.
