In accordance with the provisions of the Law of May 31, 2002 "On Citizenship of the Russian Federation", the Russian Embassy in Moldova makes decisions on issues of adopting Russian citizenship in a simplified manner.
Necessary
- 1. Application in duplicate (for children under 14 years old in 1 copy)
- 2. Proof of identity.
- 3. Birth certificate.

Instructions
Step 1
In a simplified manner, citizenship of the Russian Federation can be obtained by persons under the age of 18 in the case when: 1. Parents or a single parent, having another citizenship, acquire Russian citizenship; 2. If one parent is a stateless person, the other one with Russian citizenship (at the request of this parent); 3. When one of the parents (who has a different citizenship) acquires the citizenship of the Russian Federation, at the request of both parents; 4. If both parents have other citizenship, one acquires the citizenship of the Russian Federation (at the request of both parents);
Step 2
Persons under the age of 14 who have received Russian citizenship register for consular registration and receive a foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation In this regard, an application for a foreign passport is simultaneously submitted, photographs of children 3, 5 x 4, 5 are black and white matte, in a semi-oval - 4 pieces, registration card, parent's photo 3, 5 x 4, 5 matte black and white, in a semi-oval.
Step 3
In a simplified manner, citizenship of the Russian Federation can be obtained by persons over 18 years of age if: 1. There is at least one parent living in the Russian Federation and holding Russian citizenship; 2. They were citizens of the USSR, they live in countries that were part of the union, but they did not receive citizenship in these countries; 3. Were citizens of the states that were part of the USSR, received education in the Russian Federation after 2002-01-07;
Step 4
Before going to the consulate or embassy, make copies of all documents. Translate into Russian and have it certified by a notary. Inadequately completed documents will not be considered.
Step 5
The application is made in two copies (for children under 14 years old in one). The form is filled in legibly, preferably on a computer. After you have submitted your application, you must wait up to 6 months for a decision on your issue to be made.
Step 6
Applications are rejected if the applicants: 1. They pose a threat to the security of Russia; 2. If the applicants were expelled from the state within 5 years before submitting the application; 3. Provided false information; 4. Serve in the army or in the state security or law enforcement agencies; 5. Have an outstanding criminal record; 6. Persecuted by law; 7. Are serving their sentence;
