Cooperative apartments have become part of our life in 1924. Then, for the first time, a decree was adopted that citizens can take part in the construction of their own homes. To become the owner of such an apartment, it was necessary to pay a share of a certain size. Now, in order for the cooperative dwelling to become your property, you need to fulfill a few more conditions.

Necessary

  • certificate of the paid share;
  • documents from the BTI;
  • an extract from the house book;
  • an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the commission of the cooperative, where your membership is confirmed

Instructions

Step 1

When you are thinking of registering a cooperative apartment in ownership, remember that it is already yours, however, provided that you have paid the entire required share. This provision is governed by paragraph 4 of Article 218 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The only thing you need to do to prove your ownership of the property is to obtain a certificate of state registration.

Step 2

To issue a certificate of ownership of a cooperative apartment, you need to collect a certain package of documents and submit it to the registration authority for rights to real estate and transactions with it. As a rule, this is the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography for KO. The required package of documents includes a certificate of the paid share issued by the housing cooperative, an extract from the protocol on admission to the cooperative as a member, as well as an extract from the protocol of the housing cooperative on transferring the apartment to the ownership of a member of the cooperative.

Step 3

In addition, you will need a certificate from the BTI, an extract from the house book, a photocopy and the original marriage certificate (necessary if you were married at the time of payment of the share). When submitting documents to the registration office, your spouse must also be present on the spot.

Step 4

When you collect all the necessary documents and register them with the appropriate government agency, you will be given a certificate of ownership of this living space. And after that, you will perform all further operations with the apartment on it. The main advantage of the cooperative apartment is that it does not need to be privatized. Transfer to ownership is made only on the basis of the payment of the share.
