Who can benefit from support

Initially, the program provided support exclusively for compatriots who permanently reside outside of Russia. However, since 2011, access to participation in the State Program is also open to compatriots who legally reside in the territory of the Russian Federation, but do not have a passport of a Russian citizen.

Thus, in order to participate in the State Program of Resettlement to Russia and to receive priority measures of support for a foreign citizen or stateless person, you must first of all be a compatriot permanently residing outside the country or have a residence permit in Russia, or have a temporary residence permit for territory of the state.

In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the status of "compatriot" can be equated: firstly, Russian citizens who permanently reside outside the country, secondly, persons whose relatives in a direct ascending line previously lived in the territory, thirdly, persons, who made a free choice in favor of cultural, spiritual and legal ties with the Russian state, fourthly, the persons and descendants of these persons who live outside the territory of Russia and belong to the peoples for whom the territory of the Russian Federation is the historical homeland.

Families of State Program Participants

Since the main task of the State Program is the most complete settlement of compatriots in the new place of residence, then, of course, the resettlement of entire families is envisaged. Moreover, family members also have the right to count on support measures from the state: material assistance, provision of medical assistance, admission to kindergartens and schools and other similar assistance.

Profession and age

To become a member of the State Program, first of all, it is necessary to interest Russian employers, since one of the main goals of the Program is employment in Russia.

Based on this, only an able-bodied person can obtain a certificate of a compatriot participating in the State program. According to Russian law, today these are women up to 55 years old and men up to 60 years old. It should be noted that disabled parents-retirees can be transported with them to their new place of residence as family members.

To confirm your work skills, you will need documents on work activity and educational level.
