Step 1

There is no point in explaining to lawyers that the company must be registered. The organizational and legal form of your company may be different, but most often LLCs are created for such companies. The company can be registered by yourself or, in order not to waste time, entrust the registrars. They will do it for about 9000-12000 rubles (not including state fees and notary fees).

Step 2

Registration is an elementary matter. It is more important to settle other issues even before registration. What exactly will the firm do - i.e. what areas of law to work with? This often depends on the specialization of its founders. For example, lawyers with experience in corporate law are more likely to open a firm that would deal with exactly these issues, since it will be more difficult for them to manage serious projects in another area without proper experience. Often, to open a law firm, founders attract acquaintances of successful lawyers from different fields, who either become partners or simply head departments that lead projects in different areas of law.

No law firm can exist without the main thing - without clients. It is good if you manage to "lure" clients from the old place of work, but not everyone succeeds. The legal services market in Moscow is full, so it will be difficult, if not impossible, to find clients simply by advertisements, hanging a sign "Lawyers". The way out is contacts, former clients, active advertising in professional communities, banners on the Internet, dumping prices for services and other similar methods. At first, the most important thing is to enter the market and gain a foothold in it; it may take some time to start earning money.

A law firm needs a small but comfortable office (preferably class A - the highest) in a convenient location, i.e. in the center of Moscow, subject to the availability of a convenient entrance or underground parking in the business center. Since there are many law firms, not every client will want to travel to a meeting with lawyers even relatively far, especially considering the issue of traffic jams.

A rather acute issue is the recruitment of personnel. Everyone knows that there are a lot of lawyers now, but there are not many highly qualified specialists among them. While the firm is just getting started, and while it does not need a lot of people, you can find some good communications lawyers. They will "lift" the firm up. Junior professionals (paralegals) and administrative staff can be recruited using the traditional method - through employee search sites.
