In order to obtain Kyrgyz citizenship, it is not at all necessary to learn the Kyrgyz language for those who speak Russian well. And besides, the citizens of Russia have certain privileges in obtaining the citizenship of this country.

Step 1
Read article # 21 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic # 1333-XII of 1993-18-12.
Step 2
If you are a citizen of another country, then you will have to renounce this citizenship. Contact the consulate (or embassy) of the Kyrgyz Republic in your country and get all the necessary clarifications regarding the procedure for renouncing citizenship. So for those who return to the Kyrgyz Republic, there is a procedure for obtaining a certificate of return.
Step 3
Learn the state language of Kyrgyzstan in the amount established by law. However, knowledge of the official language (Russian) will be quite enough to obtain citizenship. But if you want to become a full citizen not only on paper, you still have to master the basics of the Kyrgyz language. For this, there are a number of free programs in Kyrgyzstan, thanks to which you can easily master it.
Step 4
Collect all documents proving the legitimacy of your sources of income. This can be salary (in the event that you have an official permit to work in Kyrgyzstan and a residence permit), bank accounts, amounts received by inheritance, income from shares, etc.).
Step 5
After renouncing the citizenship of another country and obtaining a residence permit, live in the territory of Kyrgyzstan for at least 7 years.
Step 6
Please note that you can obtain citizenship under the simplified scheme if:
- you are Kyrgyz by nationality;
- have special services to the Kyrgyz Republic;
- are married to a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- were a citizen of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan and lived in the territory of these countries (republics) until 21.12.1991 and / or have relatives living in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- decided to restore the citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Step 7
Get a residence permit in the Kyrgyz Republic. To do this, you need to have a work permit in the Kyrgyz Republic, an invitation from relatives, or be a stateless person (i.e. already renounce the citizenship of another country). Submit the following documents to the consulate or embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic:
- passport of a citizen of another country (or apostille);
- documents confirming the eligibility of being in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- OMS number (Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic);
- a certified copy of a migration card (for stateless persons) or a residence permit card;
- 4 photos 4 × 6 (on a white background, glossy, color);
- application form (in 2 copies).
