It is impossible to issue maternity benefits for the husband. In fact, this is the payment of your prenatal sick leave. Therefore, the husband cannot go on maternity leave and receive benefits - after all, you are pregnant. However, your spouse is quite capable of replacing you on the so-called parental leave. And, accordingly, receive a monthly allowance for the baby.
Instructions
Step 1
If after childbirth you intend to go to work, remember that in addition to your spouse, according to labor law, postnatal leave can also be issued to your grandmother, grandfather or other relatives - if they will actually take care of the baby. They will also receive a monthly "child" allowance. But only if they had an official source of income.
Step 2
If you plan to issue monthly payments for a child at the husband's place of work, the spouse will have to quit his job. In extreme cases, it will be possible to go to work, but not full-time - so as not to lose the child allowance. Therefore, this option is beneficial only if the father earns much less than the mother. If your spouse is employed informally and receives a salary "in an envelope", then under the labor law he is considered unemployed. And, accordingly, he cannot count on monthly "child" payments, or on parental leave.
Step 3
Take a certificate from your work (or place of study) - that you work or study, and that you are not granted parental leave. You also need a certificate stating that you are not receiving monthly child support. If you do not study or work, the certificate is taken from the district department of social protection.
Step 4
At his work, the spouse writes a statement that he wants to go on parental leave before he reaches one and a half years. In general, labor legislation allows you to sit with a baby up to three years old. But the allowance is paid only up to one and a half. After that, a small amount is charged monthly - about two hundred rubles.
Step 5
The spouse must submit the parental leave application, your certificate and the child's birth certificate to the HR department at work. Then the accounting department will calculate a monthly allowance for him. It will be about 40% of his average salary.
