It would seem that it is not at all difficult to stitch documents, but often incorrectly filed documents are returned, and you have to redo all the work again. Before stitching documents for the tax office, you need to familiarize yourself with the basic requirements and rules of document flow.

Necessary

  • - thread;
  • - needle;
  • - awl;
  • - stationery glue.

Instructions

Step 1

Documents are sewn in 3 punctures. The distance between the holes must be at least 3 centimeters. Make three holes in the left margin of the document with a needle or awl. The holes are made in half of the free field, taking into account the possible free reading of the text of all documents when flipping through the case. The holes should be located strictly vertically.

Step 2

Sew the documents using a sewing needle with bank twine or LSh-210 sewing threads. If you do not have such a thread, you can use a strong nylon or regular thread folded several times. As a rule, documents are stitched two times - for reliability.

Step 3

Pass the ends of the twine from the center hole to the back of the last sheet. Leave the free end of the sewing thread about 5–6 centimeters long and cut off the rest. Tie the ends of the thread in a knot.

Step 4

Seal the documents by gluing about 3x5 centimeters of paper to the knot with clerical glue. Stick the paper so that it covers the knot and partially the threads. The ends of the threads must be left free.

Step 5

Wait for the glue to dry and certify the pasted paper with your signature and seal. The certification inscription is put by the manager or an authorized person. It must be distinguishable, distinct. The seal should be located both on the sticker with the certification inscription and on the sheet itself. All this - an imprint of a seal, a knot, threads - serves to confirm the inviolability of the document.

Step 6

Accounting documents with a shelf life of more than 10 years are sewn into 5 holes, a sheet of tissue paper is glued to the node on the back and stamped on it. Tissue paper is used so that the knot underneath is clearly visible, so if you are stapling serious accounting documents, thick paper should not be glued.
