Although it is quite simple to obtain a work permit in the Russian Federation for a citizen of the CIS in a legal way, the supply of such illegal services on the market, especially in megacities, is very large. Therefore, there is a danger that the document submitted by the applicant will turn out to be forged. You can quickly check its authenticity on the official website of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation.

It is necessary

Information contained in the work permit: the number and series of the document itself and the form on which it is issued, the type of activity and passport number of the foreigner and stateless person

Instructions

Step 1

Open the main page of the official website of the FMS of Russia. Follow the link "Checking documents" (extreme right under the "header" of the page). Then select from the links provided, "Checking the validity of work permits and foreign patents."

Step 2

in the form that opens, select from the drop-down list the type of document being checked - work permit Enter in the appropriate fields all the necessary data: series and document number (next to the photo, above personal data, the series is the digital code of the subject of the Federation in which the permit is issued, for example in Moscow - 77), the form on which it is written out (in the lower left corner), the type of activity and the passport number of its holder. Then enter the digital verification code and click the "Send request" button.

Step 3

If the document does not appear in the database, it means that it is fake, and its owner should not be hired. However, for insurance, make an official written request to your regional department of the Federal Migration Service, indicating all the details of the documents listed in the previous step and the surname, name and patronymic (if availability) of its owner and a request to inform whether the document is genuine. The answer will come in handy if the applicant decides to appeal your refusal to work in court. This, of course, is unlikely (a legally literate person, most likely, will not use dubious services himself), but it is never superfluous to be insured.
