One of the components of a successful professional career is training. Unfortunately, you can get a good education only by spending a certain amount of money, which not everyone can afford. In order to reduce the cost of education, you can use the right to social deduction.
Few people know that a social deduction for education is presented not only to children, but also to adults. In order to achieve such indulgences, it is enough to contact the tax office and fill out a declaration. You will also need a statement of income and a corresponding claim for the deduction.
According to Russian law, you can reduce income tax, which is paid at 13%. In this case, you must file an income with the tax office, reduced by the amount that you had to pay for education (yours or your children). Remember that you can only do this after the tuition fee has already been paid.
Start collecting the required documents at the beginning of the school year. You can do this yourself. If you wish, contact a specialist who will represent your interests in the tax office.
In order to fill out the tuition deduction declaration, enter the following information into this document:
- Taxpayer TIN (i.e. your TIN);
- full name of the taxpayer;
- date and place of birth of the taxpayer;
- series and number of the taxpayer's passport;
- date of issue of the passport;
- by whom this document was issued;
- taxpayer registration address.
In addition to the declaration, attach to the package of papers a photocopy of the income statement (form 2-NDFL), a copy of the receipt of payment for tuition, a photocopy of the passport, an application in the prescribed form.
Submit all of the above documents to your local tax office.
According to statistics, the majority of citizens who filed a tax deduction declaration were able to return up to 50 thousand Russian rubles of income tax. In this case, you can request state assistance for the purpose of self-education or payment for the education of your children, whose age does not exceed 24 years.
