Step 1
Calculate the total age of the employees. Data on how old who is, can be obtained from the personnel department, from the accounting department or from the clerk, depending on the size of the enterprise. If the company is large and there are many employees, divide the team into age groups. Most likely, the HR department or accounting department has a complete list of employees with years of birth. Copy the spreadsheet, convert it to Excel and sort it by age. Calculate the total age of each group by multiplying the age of the participants by their number. Calculate the total age of the entire team by adding up the results of all groups.
Step 3
Divide the total age by the number of employees. Don't be surprised if you get not an integer, but a fraction. It should be so. Age can be rounded up. If you are preparing a presentation or something like a "company passport", then you can say something like the following: "The average age of our employees is 29 years old."
