For all inventions and utility models, you can issue an inventor's certificate, which will give you a guarantee of receiving repeated monetary remuneration from the state. The registration process is quite long, so prepare for it in advance.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out the address of the regional branch of the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators, as individual applications to the Committee on Inventions and Discoveries should be submitted through it.
Step 2
Prepare an application, which should contain the following information:
- basic information about the author of the invention (or organization);
- title of the invention;
- confirmation of the fact of invention by this person.
Step 3
Write a detailed description of your invention. Take the case seriously as this is the basic information attached to the application. The description should include: title of the invention, introductory part, drawings with explanations, formula, conclusion (confirmation of the relevance of the discovery).
Step 4
Submit your prepared application for the grant of an inventor's certificate to the Committee on Inventions and Discoveries. The application can be sent individually or on behalf of the head of the organization for which the inventor works.
Step 5
Wait 10 days, after which the Committee will give you a certificate stating that the application has been accepted for consideration. Be aware that this certificate plays a leading role in determining the primacy of an invention, especially if someone submits a similar application during the registration of your certificate.
Step 6
Wait three months for the application to be reviewed for novelty and usefulness. You will receive a letter informing you that the decision has been made.
Step 7
Contact the Committee for a positive or negative result. The decision to refuse to receive an inventor's certificate will state its reasoning.
Step 8
Get a copyright certificate, the number of which will be entered by the Committee into the special State Register of the Russian Federation, intended only for inventions.
