When choosing a transport company, do not forget to clarify whether it is given the opportunity to track its cargo on the way. And here options are possible.
Operators or managers of the selected transport company can provide you with information either by your phone call or by offering to use the electronic cargo tracking system. More and more companies supply their sites with a similar system.
Moreover, some of the representatives of this market offer SMS informing service. Its frame will include SMS messages that you will receive every time your cargo is sent or arrives at the warehouse of a transit city (or destination).
Step 2
In order to receive SMS notifications, you just need to indicate your phone number in the application for transportation. If the company does not provide such a service, or you consider such a method of informing ineffective or insufficient, use the cargo tracking system posted on the website. To do this, do not forget to ask the manager the email address of the company's website and the data identifying your cargo.
Step 3
Once on the website, find the page on which cargo tracking is carried out. Enter the details of your shipment (as a rule, this is the number of the consignment note) in the appropriate field.
Most likely, you will immediately see information about his location or the time of arrival at the nearest point. If the information does not open, check that the credentials you entered are correct.
