The tax return for the year in accordance with Article 229 of the Tax Code is filed before April 1 of the next year. It is provided to the tax inspection department at the place of residence of the person. The declaration is completed for a calendar year, taking into account all income of an individual. Income includes any money received by a person during a specified period. The tax return for individuals is filled in according to a special form 3-NDFL, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Finance No. 162n of December 29, 2007. The 3-NDFL declaration is submitted by a person on his own initiative or without fail.

Instructions

Step 1

From the official website of the Federal Tax Service, download the software distribution kit for filling out the declaration for the reporting year in the form 3-NDFL. Install the program on your computer and run it. You will open an application with which you can quickly and without errors fill out all 24 sheets of the declaration.

Step 2

Start filling out the declaration from the topmost tab of the window - "Setting conditions". Check the box on the 3-NDFL form to be filled out. In the "General Information" section, by clicking the "…" button, select your tax authority at the place of registration. Fill in the information in the remaining sections of the first window.

Step 3

Then go to the "Information about the declarant" tab. Enter your personal information and information about your place of residence in the appropriate fields.

Step 4

Open the tab "Income received in the Russian Federation". At the top of the table, set the required percentage of tax collection. Usually, for an individual, this percentage is 13.

Step 5

Use the buttons with the "+", "-" signs and the edit button to fill in the fields in the "Sources of payments" list. Complete the income details table below in the same way. At the bottom of the window, in the fields of the totals for each source of payments, check the received totals with your data in order to avoid mistakes.

Step 6

In the "Deductions" tab, you fill in the data for social and standard tax deductions. Also, if necessary, the property deduction tab is filled in, for example, to provide a deduction for the purchase of an apartment.

Step 7

Fill in the table of the "Payment by notifications" tab, if you have the relevant data.

Step 8

Save the declaration using the "Save" button. Start checking the correctness of the data you entered by clicking the "Check" button. If inconsistencies or errors are found, the program will give you information. View your generated declaration on 24 sheets using the "View" mode.

Step 9

Click the "Export" button, select the path and folder to save the exported data file. You will be shown information about the successful saving of the file with the xml extension. It is this file that you will be asked by the tax office along with 24 sheets of your return.

Step 10

Print the declaration using the "Print" button. Date and sign each sheet of paper. That's it, the declaration can be handed over.
