Usually, if a person is employed, then the employer pays all the necessary taxes for him. But in a number of cases, a situation arises that a citizen must pay additional amounts or, on the contrary, receive tax deductions from the state. And in such cases, it is necessary to fill out a tax return. How can this be done correctly?
Necessary
- - declaration form;
- - pen.
Instructions
Step 1
Get a tax return form. You can get it from your local tax authority or download it from the official website of the Federal Tax Service (FTS). In this case, it will be possible to fill out the declaration both by hand and in electronic form.
Step 2
Start filling out by entering your personal information. The first two sheets of the declaration are designed to do just that. Write in the appropriate box your last name, first name and patronymic. Also include the taxpayer code. It depends on your occupation. An individual entrepreneur corresponds to the code "720", and a person who is employed or does not carry out labor activities - "760". More rare categories of taxpayers, such as farmers, also have their own designations. If necessary, you can inquire with the tax office.
Step 3
Also indicate your date of birth and passport data - series, number, date and place of issue of the document. On the second page of your declaration, write down your home address. If it does not correspond to the registration, please indicate it additionally. Also, do not forget to indicate your citizenship - for Russians, this is the Russian Federation.
Step 4
Proceed to completing the appendix to the tax return. It consists of sheets from A to L. They must be filled out selectively, depending on what income you want to declare and for what to get tax deductions. At the top of each face it is indicated what information you must enter in this section. For example, there is a section dedicated to income from lawyers, from securities, royalties, and so on.
Step 5
In the special sections, list the tax deductions to which you are entitled. This can be compensation when buying a home, paying for your education or child's education, social deductions for families with children, and so on. Do not forget to include the date and signature on each sheet.
